The past affects the present. Evangelicals exegete scripture, but what if we applied the same discipline to exegeting our communities? Looking at history will help the way we understand systems that affect where buildings, schools, and freeways are today, which will help us minister to the people who live here now.

Alberto Aguilera

After School Program Manager, Lake Avenue Community Foundation
Alberto migrated to the US as a child, and has grown up with a diverse perspective on social justice issues and understating of faith and culture. He is currently seeking a B.A. in Education. He is the Program Manager of LACF's North STARS Elementary After-school Program in Pasadena, CA, where he works with local families.

Curt has 30+ years of experience as a youth pastor, a consultant (in program design and implementation) and leader in the faith-based nonprofit arena. The last 15 years Curt has spent working for Lake Avenue Community Foundation, serving in the STARS after school program and mentoring initiatives.
