Minister Thomas A. Brackeen, Jr.
Thomas Brackeen is a graduate of Oxon Hill High School, class of 1998 and is currently pursuing further education in the area of Pastoral Ministry. In his spare time he coaches basketball and has been doing so for 15 years since the age of 16. In June 2002, Thomas accepted his call to the gospel ministry. He did his initial sermon in Feb 2003 and was officially licensed as an associate minister of the Cornerstone Baptist Community Church, of Temple Hills in March 2004. Minister Brackeen formally served as a Board of Director/Vice President of Make It Plain Ministries. In October 2005, God called Minister Brackeen to be the Youth and Young Adult Pastor of Gospel Missionary Baptist Church (Now: Love the Gospel Church) He also oversaw the Evangelism/Outreach Ministry as well as oversaw the operations of the Fine Arts Dept at different times during his service there. In Jan 2010, God called Minister Brackeen to the Holy Comforter Baptist Church in SE, DC where he is being lead to do urban outreach and community development as the Minister to Discipleship and Asst to the Pastor. This preacher also assisted his Pastor at the time, Jevon Billups, on projects for the Youth Committee for the DC Baptist Convention whichs looks to plan major Youth Ministry development for over 140 Baptist churches/ministries in the DC Metro area. Minister Brackeen in Dec 2010 made a move to his current church home and family, Faith, Healing and Anointing Temple in Temple Hills where he works with Youth and Young Adult Ministry and is the Adult Praise and Worship Team Leader. Minister Brackeen is also the Founder of the Keep It Real Fridays Youth Movement which has been doing youth/young adult services at various local churches over the last 5 years. He is also the President/CEO of TBJ Enterprises and is currently forming a Non-Profit Org which will focus on youth urban outreach and community development for the Kingdom of God in the MD, DC, and VA areas. Thomas is a graduate of the DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative, (a national leadership program) which was a group of 10 Youth Pastors/Leaders from the DC Metro Area whom travels locally and nationally to receive urban youth training.
